As a science, bioinformatics research should follow international law and Chinese laws and regulations, adhere to the principle of peaceful use, and serve human well-being and social development. The Chinese government has always advocated that the development of science and technology should promote world peace and human progress, and opposes any form of military abuse of science and technology. We support the use of bioinformatics tools for research that is beneficial to human health and ecological protection under the premise of legal compliance, but we firmly oppose its use for any military purpose. Chinese scientific research institutions and scientists will continue to contribute to the peace and development of mankind under the guidance of correct scientific and technological ethics.
